SAHFOS is based in “Britain’s Ocean City”, Plymouth, in the Citadel Hill Laboratory.
The railway station is on the north side of the city centre. A pedestrian avenue (Armada Way) extends from the station to the Hoe. A taxi from the railway station to SAHFOS takes approximately 10 minutes.
Plymouth Coach Station is located on Armada Way right in the heart of Plymouth City Centre. It is approximately a 20 minute walk from SAHFOS.

The nearest airport is Exeter International, 50 miles from Plymouth. There is a bus link to Exeter St. David’s railway station from where there are hourly trains to Plymouth. Journey time is one hour.
Bristol airport is approximately 2 ½ hours by train (Bristol Temple Meads nearest train station) to Plymouth and offers a wider selection of international flights.
Brittany Ferries run a service to Roscoff (France), and Santander (Spain), from March to November, from the Continental Ferry Port in Plymouth.
