Policy Research
Policy drivers continue to influence research at SAHFOS and an important aim of the organisation is to use CPR data and the expertise of SAHFOS scientists to deliver evidence-based advice to policy makers and ecosystem managers. In fact, The CPR survey has co-evolved with policy drivers, and the depth and scope of SAHFOS scientific and policy research relects this. For example, policy-relevant subjects like eutrophication, HABs, and marine litter are all active research areas at SAHFOS.
The impact of SAHFOS expertise and CPR data is growing steadily, with our data and research increasingly used in policy outputs and to inform the decision making process at the UK, EU and international levels.
