The life and work of Sir Alister Hardy is to be commemorated on a set of stamps commissioned by the South Georgia Government in March 2011.
The stamps have been commissioned to celebrate the historical connection between Hardy and the South Georgia islands through his work on the Discovery cruises in the 1920s. The South Georgia Government are soon to start a CPR tow between South Georgia and the Falklands.
