Non-indigenous phytoplankton
The phytoplankton species Odontella sinensis and Coscinodiscus wailesii were used as a model of non-indigenous plankton species collected by the CPR.
Using the CPR records between 1958 and 2007, the rates of spreading of O. sinensis and C. wailesii in the North-east Atlantic were determined. Some environmental tolerance ranges were investigated for the same species.
