Central Plymouth

Rail: The Railway station is on the north side of the city centre. A pedestrian avenue (Armada Way) extends from the station to the Hoe (marked in grey on the map). A taxi from the railway station to SAHFOS costs approximately £5.50.

Pedestrians: should follow signs from the City Centre to the Hoe.

Coaches: arrive at Bretonside Bus Station in Plymouth City Centre. From there follow signs or catch a bus from Royal Parade to the Hoe. A taxi to SAHFOS costs approx. £4.50.

Airports: Plymouth City Airport is now closed.

Exeter International Airprt is 50 miles from Plymouth. The airport is situated 5 miles from Exeter city centre and 5 minutes from the M5 motorway. There is a bus link to Exeter St.David's railway station from where there are hourly trains to Plymouth. Journey time is one hour. Newquay airport is located at St. Mawgan, near Newquay, Cornwall, http://www.newquaycornwallairport.com/. There are a minimal nuber of flights to UK airports. Destinations are limited in the winter months. The airport is 40 miles from Plymouth and htere is limited public transport.

Ferries: Brittany Ferries run a service to Roscoff (France) and Santander (Spain)  from the Continental Ferry Port in Plymouth which is located in Millbay Docks.
